Printing Poetry ~ a day-long workshop at Iota Press for those interested in:
The graphic potency of hand-printed words & the unique perceptions that come while sculpting a poem one letter at a time.
This was a class for people who wanted to learn how to treat their poems
as sculptures on the page by setting them in metal type and
printing a chapbook collaboratively on letterpress equipment.
Required: short poems, quick fingers, and an interest in the old way of having one’s words make a deep impression.
Each person brought a short poem & took home copies of the booklet.
When Saturday, July 9, 2011, 9 am to 5 pm, with a break for lunch.
