The exhibit by four author / illustrators of their process from inspiration to printed book featured sketches, story boards, manuscripts, dummies, final art, press proofs, and other visuals. An exhibition of drawings by Katherine Klein. Inspired by endpaper maps in the back of books, Klein created sketches of a small valley in the Missouri Ozarks, where she often walked as a child. This exhibition consisted of maps and drawings of trees and places that are of special importance in her personal topography.

Baskets of Poetry ~ Young Poets of Sebastopol and Sonoma County. Student poetry collections from schools in Sebastopol and throughout Sonoma County. From 2nd grade through high school, from Gravenstein, Hillcrest, ENRICH! and Reach, to Kawana Elementary and Sierra Youth Center, ten California Poets in the Schools help young people write their own poetry and publish it each year in anthologies. Let’s Talk about Artists Books ~ A panel discussion tied into the Bibliophoria II exhibition Thursday, June 23, with artists Alisa Golden, Lisa Kokin, Zea Morvitz, Luz Marina Ruiz and gallery owner, Donna Seager. $5 member, $7 non-members.

Patrick Reagh Master Printer ~ Fine book exhibit of the work by a world-class letterpress printer at the Sebastopol Branch of the Sonoma County Library. In the display case June 20 to 25, 2011, including a Melville story with Rik Olson woodcuts. FIne printing exhibit on the walls of the forum room on June 25. Pat gave a talk and answered questions from 11 am to noon on the 25th. Eric Johnson of Iota Press was present all day. go
Pat has a wide reputation as a letterpress printer and book designer of the finest quality, and his shop is here in Sebastopol. His books are brilliant examples of typographical art. One that was in the case was a recent collaboration with local wood engraver Rik Olson: an illustrated Melville story that is breath-taking.
Sculpture Jam 2011 ~ A weekend of public art and artist participation. At the Sebastopol Plaza, Petaluma Avenue and McKinley Avenue. June 18 & 19, 2011 ~ 10 AM to 3 PM. Jam sculptors created the Bibliophoria Book Bench now installed by the Sebastopol Library. go
